RIDBA Membership Criteria

In order to become a member of the Rural and Industrial Design and Building Association, companies are required to demonstrate that they meet the following criteria for membership.

All Members must:

  • Be financially stable – true copies of the audited accounts or financial statements in respect of the company’s last financial year need to be enclosed with the application
  • Provide three industry trade references at senior manager or director level
  • Provide appropriate levels of Employer’s, Product and/or Public Liability and/ or Professional Indemnity insurances as applicable
  • Comply with all relevant legislation
  • Actively trading for a minimum of six months
  • Comply with current applicable employment legislation
  • Arrange for appropriate training of the company’s workforce

Additionally Frame Manufacturers and Contractor Members must:

  • Provide a copy of the company’s health and safety policy
  • Provide information on any HSE prosecutions or prohibitions received over the last 3 years
  • Enclose a typical risk assessment and method statement
  • Submit annual accident figures to RIDBA
  • Agree to abide by the RIDBA Code of Practice and Complaints Procedure
  • Frame Manufacturers must also: Enclose a valid CE Certificate
  • Contractor Members must also: Agree to use CE marked products only
